Make your flight more comfortable

Malta

Flying can be terrible, there are lots of rules regarding allowed items and turbulence can be annoying. Or you have a big delay and can’t manage to catch your follow up plane. As we know the issues of using an airplane, we want to make it easier for you by providing some lifehacks.

Purchase travel-sized items

As there are many rules for the security check, make sure to buy travel-sized items. As these are created for travelling and follow the rules of the TSA. So if you don’t want to worry about your toiletries at the security checks, take these with you.

Find the best seat

If you have the opportunity to choose your seat, do it! There are websites that help you pick the best seats for multiple airlines. These websites use reviews from previous passengers to make sure you get the best place in the plane. Using a website like seat guru could get you a seat with more legroom or close to a power outlet, yes, some planes have them.

Parking

Try to book your parking spot in advance to save some money, sometimes it saves more than 50%. As we always forget where we parked our car, take a picture of the parking space. When you return, simply check the picture and find your car.

Drinks

Airport drinks are expensive, but you are not allowed to bring your own drinks. There is no need to buy expensive drinks at the airport or during the flight. Just bring an empty water bottle with you and fill it after the security check. Liquids are not allowed, but nobody forbids you to take an empty water bottle with you!

Weigh your bags

Airlines charge high fees if your suitcase exceeds the weight limit. But, you can easily avoid this by weighting your luggage at home. If the suitcase is heavier than allowed, consider removing some items you don’t necessarily need.

Label your luggage

Suitcases go missing at the airport, but you can increase your chance of finding yours again by labelling the suitcases. Simply attach a label with your name, telephone number, address and postal code to the handle of your suitcase. If the suitcase is found, they know it is yours and will contact you so you can obtain it again.

Food

Just like drinks, food is expensive at the airport. However, you can bring dry food with you on the plane. Bring some nuts, candy bars or sandwiches with you to prevent hunger and overspending. This also allows you to take whatever you want, instead of having to choose from the collection at the airport.

These tips can help you save money and reduce stress during your journey. What is a better way to start your journey without stress? Exactly, starting without stress and with more money to spend at your destination!
